Empathy, diversity and innovation are crucial to education in a rapidly globalizing world. Students must learn to accept each other’s differences, and celebrate the potential of others to succeed as future members of society. Dialogue in the Dark has designed a series of activities to offer to schools, to compliment the school curriculum with lessons that cannot be learned in the classroom.
Student groups will experience the 75 minute long exhibition, as well as participate in learning activities before and after entering the exhibition. The exhibition is fun and exciting, but most importantly, it offers an opportunity to encounter darkness and interact with our visually-impaired facilitators. These activities enable students to:
• Discover their own potential
• Learn to appreciate diversity
• Learn to think innovatively
Outside of the exhibition, students are debriefed with facilitators, where queries are answered, feelings are shared and learning is consolidated.
There is a wide range of Education Activities in DiDHK. Please kindly refer to Overview of Education Activities.
The Educational Activities are open to customization. Please contact canji.li@dialogue-in-the-dark.hk for more details.
