After a 75 minute journey in the dark, participants have the opportunity to leave a message in our guestbook:
"The visually impaired have to keep persevering! Just like this guided journey in the dark, light will be waiting for you at the other end! Keep your heart and hopes up!
"If I lost my sight this very moment, I would lose the ability to enjoy movies, color, visual memory techniques…..but at the same time, what would I gain? There would be no judgment on skin color, height, appearance, shape, there would be a little more peace in the world, a little more sincerity, a little more love …..thank you for the wonderful journey !"
"The earth isn’t very big, the world has no boundaries, treasure what you have!"
"By only using your heart to feel, the world is full of color!"
"Thanks to the tour guides who lead us in darkness. This journey allowed me to vividly experience the difficulties of being visually impaired. So I am writing to cheer you on! Persevere, and live your life to the fullest! The next time I encounter a visually impaired friend, I will be sure to help them! You are beautiful in the dark !"
"Sincerity is so important! We have to help, but more importantly, have to trust, respect, admire, care and love our visually impaired friends! They don’t need our pity, just our recognition!"
"Thank you to all my fellow participants, thank you for all your help, all the shared trust and emotion. "
"With love in our hearts, the world can be a much more beautiful place!"
"Many thanks to our tour guide! In darkness, I put my complete trust in you. Its because of you that I have discovered what the real light in life is, and realized there are many paths to take in life."
"Although it was scary being in the dark, what was scarier was my lack of confidence in my own abilities. You only have to believe in yourself and anything is possible!"
"After this experience in the dark, I have discovered that lines, colors, and shapes are beautiful creations. To be able to appreciate details that are neglected in everyday life is truly great, thank you!"
"The experience in the dark is like being in a dream – for the visually impaired, their whole life is in this dream. Fortunately, they still have lights in the heart, letting them see all the colors that we are unable to!"
"The visually impaired truly are not the disabled ones! "
"Life with light is extraordinary, but life without light is even more sincere."
