Our Experiential Exhibition does not give you a lot to
read. In
stead,
we give you a white cane…
… a cane to explore Hong Kong in the dark. Follow our visually-impaired guides who will take you on a day trip. Experience Hong Kong in a way you have never done before!
We start with the park, for a break from work. Feel the breeze which carries smell of willows and whistle of birds. Listen and you’ll know if Taichi’s on, or if the children are having a good time.
Then hop onto a ferry and try to keep your balance. It’s not as easy as you think, but your cane will help you out.
When you’re in the market, pick the freshest eggs – can you do that though? There’ll be no light. And when you get the veggies, count the spring onions; they’re usually complementary, because people here are nice.
In the record store, you can reminisce about the good old days – the nineties when music comes at a price; but you may well be the civil citizen who buys CDs still.
By the end of the tour, you’ll want to treat yourself a drink. We do milk tea, coffee, Horlicks and more; two dollars extra if you want it cold. This is when you can have chat with fellow visitors and our tour guides. Share your thoughts, ask questions, have a Dialogue in the Dark.
